Since 1998, the duo Sagor & Swing has been creating its own dreamlike world of instrumental music where jazz, progressive rock and Nordic folk traditions meet. Their eighth album will be released in October 2026. Last year's album 'Moog på svenska' was nominated for the Dalecarlia Music Awards, while 'Allt hänger samman' (2004) received a Swedish Grammis nomination. Over the years, the band's music has also appeared frequently in film and television, including the HBO series Eastbound & Down. Eric Malmberg plays Moog synthesizer, organ and occasionally accordion, while the other half of the duo, Ulf Möller, provides percussion and rhythm. Their roots can be traced back to the legendary 1960s organ duo Hansson & Karlsson. Eric Malmberg studied under Bo Hansson and performed with him in the group Dubbelorganisterna during the final years of Hansson's life. Combining analogue keyboards, hypnotic rhythms and a distinctly Scandinavian sense of melody, Sagor & Swing have developed a sound entirely their own. With one foot firmly rooted in the Swedish organ tradition and the other aimed toward the future, Sagor & Swing continue to explore new sonic landscapes, with outer space as their destination.
